Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) – Infectious Substances
An infectious substance is defined under section 1.4 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Regulations.
Fundamentally, an infectious substance is a micro-organism that is known or reasonably believed to cause disease in humans or animals. The infectious substance might be contained in blood, tissue, organs, body fluids, vaccines or cultures.
Training Program:
SASWH offers a training program called Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) – Infectious Substances. This certificate program will familiarize shippers and receivers of biological samples with the information and training required under the TDG Regulations pertaining to training, classification, emergency response assistance plans, packaging, documentation, labelling, accidental release, and imminent accident release report requirements and air shipments. Program Details
