SASWH Infection Control Consultants focus is on prevention, preparedness and planning regarding infection control practices for non SHA homes, specific for personal care, group & residential homes across Saskatchewan.
Available Support:
Infection control consultants will be available virtually (phone, email, video conference, etc.)
Should a home be deemed to be in outbreak by Public Health, SASWH IPAC consultants are available to provide virtual support to assist in the implementation of recommendations from Public Health.
The Infection Control consultants provide advice and support to home operators with the intention to address concerns and challenges with respect to infection prevention and control practices.
The Infection Control consultants will develop an Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) tool kit for home operators. Efforts will be to enlist and utilize best practice guidelines already established in the IPAC community of practice and provide education for operators of personal care homes and approved group and residential homes.
