Sandra has been a healthcare worker for the past thirty years. She has worked as a Continuing Care Aide (CCA) and as a Laundry Services Worker. Safety in the workplace has been an interest throughout her career. Sandra was the Chief Workload/Occupational Health and Safety Officer for CUPE Local 5999 from 2003 – 2007. She currently is the CUPE Health Care Council Executive Liaison to the CUPE Health Care Council (CHCC) Provincial Workload Committee. She has served on many Occupational Health and Safety Committee’s in various workplaces. Injury prevention, reduction and education have been a key interest and she continues to advise in those areas as the President of CUPE Local 5999. Sandra lives in Weyburn and is married to her husband Darryl. They have three children, three grandsons and one granddaughter.
