The Saskatchewan Association for Safe Workplaces in Health (SASWH) is an independent not-for-profit organization and is funded by a portion of the premiums healthcare employers pay into the Saskatchewan Workers Compensation Board. SASWH works with Saskatchewan Healthcare employers and workers, providing safety training, consulting and resources to reduce workplace risks and prevent occupational injuries and illnesses.
SASWH has secured a licence agreement with the Public Services Health and Safety Association of Ontario for the use of the Workplace Violence Risk Assessment tool, the Client Risk Assessment tool and Community Care tools which are now available at . The Website is developed for employers and employees in the healthcare industry to identify risk factors and levels associated with workplace violence. By conducting the assessment through the Website, such health care providers can apply control interventions that promote both employee and patient safety, as well as ensure patient-centred care.
SASWH respects and upholds the privacy of the users of its website in the highest regard, as such all information submitted or provided to SASWH via the website will be used solely for the eDistribution of newsletters, industry and OH&S updates and legislation changes. And, to notify subscribers of upcoming events, training, services and surveys offered by SASWH.
